REPUBLIC DAY CELEBRATIONS

India’s 69th Republic Day was celebrated in the school on 25th January, 2018. The patriotic fervour warmed up the cold winter morning as the teachers and children of the school enthusiastically gathered in the school lawn.The celebrations commenced with the unfurling of the National flag followed by the National Anthem. A fiery speech was delivered by the Vice Head Boy and the Vice Head Girl of the school on the significance of the day , reinvigorating the spirit of nationalism  in the students. An emphatic recital of the poem “ Prayaan Geet” by the students of the Primary Wing ignited in everyone  a sense of committed service to the nation. 

A colourful cultural programme presented by the students added a festive spirit to the occasion. The school orchestra cast a spell of musical symphony with the fusion of tabla and violin. The highlight of the day was the soulful rendition of ‘Mera Rang Dey Basanti Chola’, the live song dance presentation wherein thevivaciousand versatile students paid a tribute to our brave soldiers.

The Principal , Dr. D.K. Pandey urged the students to develop a sense of self-discipline. He emphasised that discipline is the back bone of a nation.  He urged the students to maintain the dignity and glory of the country by working together to eradicate all social evils. He encouraged the students to pledge their allegiance to the flag and promise to carry their nation to greater heights and achieve success in various walks of life. 

On the occasion of the National Voters Day, the Principal administered the Voter’s Pledge in both English and Hindi languages. He also read out the message of the Deputy Chief Minister for the school students and the Preamble to the constitution.The celebrations concluded with the rendition of the National Anthem.

Signifying the importance of the Preamble to the constitution and to stimulate the values and principles embedded in the preamble, ”The vision of Indian society on Constitution” was taken up as a topic for discussion in the Classes PS to XI. The document on the vision of the Indian Constitution was uploaded on the Smart Classes. The students and the teachers had enlightening discourse on the vision and values of our Constitution which helped them realize the magnificenceof the Preamble to the Constitution.
