DISTRICT LEVEL ‘DANCE’ COMPETITION HELD ON 5th OCTOBER, 2016
N.C. Jindal Public School, Punjabi Bagh, New Delhi hosted District Level Dance competition on 05th October, 2016 as part of the ongoing programme Kala Utsav in different states of India. Various schools from zones 14, 15 and 16 participated in the competition to showcase their talent in the Tribal, Folk and Traditional dances. The event witnessed the presence of distinguished guests, Mrs. Anima Horo, Deputy Director, Education Officer, Zone-15, Mrs. Bhupinder Maan, Mrs. Sushma Maan and Kiran Malhotra, supervisors from the respective zones 14,15 and 16 of West Delhi. It was adjudged by Mrs. Braham Vasundhara and Mrs. Harpreet, artists from National Bal Bhawan and Mr. Taran Chand, a renowed choreographer.
The Principal of the host school, Dr. D.K. Pandey, in his message, averred that learning of fine arts is the driving force behind integrated development of the individual. True to the essence of the festival, myriad dance performances and the related e-projects encompassing research, interview and focused practice reflected the rich cultural diversity of our country.
The integration of the differentially abled children in dance performances promoted a deep sense of connectivity and cooperation among students. Indeed, the participants imbibed it all-order, dignity, flexibility, creativity and contribution. The winners were declared amidst rapturous applause.
